  Free School kits for Tribal Children

Free School Bags along with free note books and other educational kits have been distributed freely by Vadamalayan Memorial Trust on 2nd, May, 2011 to the tribal children of various districts of Tamil Nadu.

 

An eight days summer camp “Thullal Pasanga” has been held for about 50 Tribal Children of Dindigul, Cumbum, Theni and Coimbatore districts by CECSI (Centre for Experiencing Socio Cultural Interacting) a Madurai based NGO.

  Pediatric Camp

Pediatric Camp has been conducted in the South Gate Branch - Vadamalayan Hospitals- City Centre between 01.02.2011 and 04.02.2011 by Dr. S. Navarasu - Paediatrician. Totally 55 Children were benefitted through this camp.
Vadamalayan Hospital’s “Tarika-Peadiatric OP Card” was provided to the children from Below Poverty Line family to avail free OPD Services.

  Third Round of Anemia treatment programmes

The third round of Sogai Illa Thogai (Anemia Treatment programme) for women and adolescent girls has been commenced in Melur, Usilampatti and Thirumangalam for the year 2011.

This programme include Blood checkup for identifying Hb level, and BP followed by medicines and counseling.
The first camp has been conducted at Primary Health Centre of Melur on 11.01.2011. totally 112 women including adolescent girls were diagnosed and given medicine.

  Diabetic Camp

On 09.01.2011 diabetic camp has been conducted in the walker’s park and a large number of walkers have checked their blood sugar level free of cost. Counseling regarding diet and exercise was given.

A public Awareness Programme on Diabetes "Santhipom Sarkarayai-Meet Diabetes Head-On” has been organized with at Lakshmi Sundaran Hall, Madurai on 13th November, 2010. Dr. T. Ganesh, Diabetologist has given a presentation and clarified the queries of the general public. Around 500 persons were benefitted by the programme.
